FMSD School Board Recognizes Sylvandale's Video Game Designers

On November 15, the FMSD School Board Recognized Sylvandale's Award Winning Video Game Designers. A total of 16 Sylvandale students were recognized for their outstanding achievement in computational fluency, engineering, coding, teamwork, ​and design thinking through Sylvandale’s Globaloria Program. Alexander Galindo, Amy Vo, and Jennifer Ta were named National Finalists. Alexander Galindo and Jennifer Ta won National Awards for their Mobile games. Congratulations!

Sylvandale Recognizes National Game Design Winners

Two former Sylvandale students become National Winners in the Globaloria Game Design Program. Students will be recognized during a formal ceremony at Sylvandale Middle School. The winners were Jennifer Ta for Circle of Life Mobile game and Alexander Galindo for Atomic life. Both students designed their games under the guidance of Globaloria Sylvandale. A big congratulations to them both..

Three Sylvandale Students Named National Finalists in Game Design Competition

Narrowing down the forty-seven national finalists – 26 girls and 21 boys – from the 274 regional finalists, students hail from across the country from Queens, New York to Houston, Texas; Pryor, Oklahoma to Elkins, West Virginia; and Salt Lake City, Utah to San Jose, Silicon Valley. Sylvandale Finalists will travel to Austin, Texas for the final competition and awards ceremony on September 24, 2016.
