For the past 4 years, I have had the honor of facilitating a visual art experience for seventh and eighth graders at Sylvandale Middle School. My students teach me so much! I have always loved to draw and paint and once tried to build a go go gadget helicopter machine when I was a child. It didn’t work. I believe we learn so much from our mistakes and “failures.” I encourage kids to take risks and break the rules.
I grew up in a small town in Massachusetts and went on to study painting at Boston University.
After graduating, I hit the road and moved to California to learn about organic farming. I lived and worked on a small non profit farm in Boulder Creek, CA for 12 years where my three kids were born at home. I currently live in Ben Lomond, CA with my 3 kids and 13 chickens. I like to create, cook, garden, and see live music in my free time.
