Dear Sylvandale Families,

We are excited to share the latest results from the 2025 California School Dashboard, which shows how our school is performing in key areas such as academics, attendance, school climate, and student progress. This year’s report highlights several important gains for Sylvandale Middle School from 2024 to 2025. We are moving on the right path.

🌟 Highlights of Our Progress

Suspension Rate: Improved from Yellow to Green, showing that our focus on positive behavior, relationships, and support systems is working.
English Learner Progress: Made a big jump from Red to Blue, reflecting the hard work of our students and teachers in supporting multilingual learners.
English Language Arts: Improved from Orange to Yellow, with more students showing growth in reading and writing.
Mathematics: Moved from Red to Yellow, showing steady improvement in student achievement.
Science: Stayed on Orange.

📌 Area We Are Still Working On

Chronic Absenteeism: This indicator is still in the Red category. We are committed to working with families to make sure students attend school every day, as consistent attendance is key to academic success.
