Amber Andrade, Principal
Dear Sylvandale Bear Community,
My name is Amber Andrade and I am honored to be the Principal of Sylvandale Middle School. As an educator, this is a significant responsibility and one that I am very excited to have.
Like many of my students, I was the first in my family to attend and graduate from college. I began my college journey at Sacramento City College and Consumnes River College(Community Colleges) where I completed my first 2 years of college. After completing 2 years of coursework, I transferred to CSU Sacramento, CSUS, to finish my Bachelor's Degree. I continued at CSUS for my Teaching Credential in the Bilingual/Multicultural Teaching Program. I began my career in the Franklin-McKinley School District, FMSD, in 2007. I had the pleasure of teaching at McKinley Elementary School for several years. During this time, I went back to school at CSUS and received my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, Urban Emphasis. I moved on to Sylvandale, Go Bears!, as the Assistant Principal. I enjoyed serving our community, as I too, lived in Bear Country. After a short couple of years I moved on to be the Principal of SUCCESS Academy and College Connection Academy, CCA. I have served the CCA community for 3 years and as a team we celebrated many accomplishments, including the California Gold Ribbon Award and the Title 1 Academic Achievement Award. I am excited to serve in Bear Country and what I consider, home.
On a personal note, in my spare time, I enjoy heading to the beach with my dog Chico.
You are always welcome to e-mail me at: email@example.com
call the office (408) 363-5700, or come by in person. Again, I am honored to be the principal of Sylvandale and look forward to partnering with you so that we may help your child reach their wildest dreams.
Ms. Amber Andrade
